Work stuff goes in OneNote instead - were I self-employed I'd use Evernote but we're a Microsoft shop and OneNote is pretty darn good too. I used to keep things like frequent flyer numbers, serials, etc in it as well but moved that to 1Password. (The tag 'beer' could pull up a recipe in my Food notebook and a bar I've been meaning to go to in my Local notebook, for example.)

I use tags for subject matter and notebooks for larger, more functional-based things. I don't maintain bookmarks any more - if a site has a constant stream of information I want to stay up on it goes in Feedly, and if it's just one thing I want to be able to reference later it gets clipped. Stuff comes in from me writing a fresh note, sending from Feedly/Reeder, saving something on Reddit (using IFTTT) using the web clipper, taking a picture of handwritten / drawn notes, or dragging documents in. It's my commonplace book, to-do list, project organizer, information repository, read later really is my second brain at this point.
